THE MAGMA STORY

Identical twin brothers, Jim and Jerry Mashburn, created Magma Products in 1976. At the time they were two young California sailors who, besides their love of boating, loved to barbeque.

So-Pac Marine was one of Magma’s first international distributors. Since the Mid 80’s thousands of the familiar round “kettles” have been purchased and are still in use all over NZ and we still sell spare parts for those early models today.

That original charcoal grill is still available and is now complemented with several round and rectangular LPG models.

The most important product that Magma has produced in the last quarter-century, however, has been confidence. Our customers have confidence that the products that they buy from Magma are of the very highest quality.
