Acoustica VyBar is a semi-rigid polyester laminate noise barrier and vibration damping material that has been engineered to absorb and control noise and vibration in main and auxiliary engine enclosures, partition walls and bulkheads in marine vessels.

It is an extremely robust aluminium faced insulation, which has been certified by the CSIRO for low flame spread and complies with IMO resolution MSC64(67) Annex 2 section 2. It is not affected by vibration, oil, water and hydrolysis, and does not gradually become deconstructed over time, a very important benefit. Ask any owner of an older boat forced to remove all equipment from an engine roon to replace tattered and tired product.

Available in two thicknesses 9mm & 18mm in 1.2M2 easily manageable sheets. DIY boaties can easily install this insulation themselves for straight forward jobs or user a professional for more extensive refits.
